Hacken Successfully Completes Smart Contract Audit for StrongBlock’s DeFi Protocol
We are pleased to announce that Hacken, a premiere cybersecurity company with a focus on blockchain security, has successfully completed its audit of StrongBlock’s Smart Contracts. Completion of the audit paves the way for the September 29, 2020 launch of StrongBlock’s DeFi protocol.
The StrongBlock “DeFi with a purpose” protocol is the first to reward participants for working to improve the quality of public blockchain performance. The rewards are earned by mining with ERC-20 and STRONG tokens in the protocol, and are shared with ranked blockchain nodes. Mining is rewarded with the STRONG Governance Token — an ERC-20 token that runs on the Ethereum blockchain and allows its holders to govern the protocol.
Central to the success of StrongBlock’s Defi protocol is the set of Ethereum Solidity Smart Contracts that control mining and rewards calculations. Hacken’s review of these Smart Contracts consisted of an Architecture Review, Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Computer-Aided Verification, and Manual Review.
Given the anticipated high volume of ERC-20 and STRONG mining rewards, it was crucial to both internally and externally audit the Smart Contracts controlling millions of STRONG over many years.

The StrongBlock DeFi protocol will be launched on September 29, 2020 at https://strongblock.com. Upon launch, ERC-20 and STRONG holders can begin mining for rewards, and participate in governance of the protocol.
